Living with Climate
Rose Residential Complex is conceived as an architectural response to the temperate and humid climate of Royan, where architecture works with nature rather than against it.
Deep balconies, generous openings and layered outdoor spaces maximize daylight, cross ventilation and visual connections with the surrounding landscape. The building’s soft geometry is also a passive environmental strategy: it provides shade, improves thermal comfort and reduces solar heat gain.
Landscaped terraces, rooftop gardens and elevated green platforms extend Royan’s natural character into the architecture. A gradual transition from public space to private living areas helps maintain residents’ privacy.
Designed as a Zero Energy Building, the project combines passive climatic design, photovoltaic energy generation, rainwater harvesting, natural ventilation and intelligent building management systems to reduce environmental impact while supporting residential comfort.
