Zardineh Caspian Factory
Industrial / Caspian Industrial Town 2, Karaj–Qazvin Highway
A Glass Bridge Through the Factory
Zardineh Caspian is a food-packaging factory in the Caspian Industrial Town, next to the Shahid Rajaei power plant on the Karaj–Qazvin highway. The site is the plot closest to the highway, with a view toward the power plant.
The project has two parts: the main production hall and an office and residential building. The factory sits at the front of the site, while the office and residential wing is placed behind the main hall, in the quieter part of the site with better views.
Visitors enter through a glass room, climb to the +1 level and cross a glass bridge to the office wing at the rear. On the way they look into the production halls and pass a gallery about the factory’s work before reaching the offices and conference hall. From outside, the bridge joins the two parts so the building reads as a single volume.
Staff entrances and loading docks are placed on the secondary façades, out of public view, so the factory’s daily operations do not crowd its public face. The office wing includes about 300 m² of accommodation for the owners, with open and semi-open terraces and a raised element that looks out over the factory.
